New Years Eve

Happy New Years to everyone. We've decided to stay home tonight and have some friends over instead of going out. So, please don't be jealous but we are having the King of Crabs tonight for a snack. Jason ordered these awhile ago just for tonight. So, we should be diving into those soon.
And seeing as it's freezing rain tonight, I'm really glad we are at home.
I don't know if I'll see the new year. I must be getting old, but they tell me that you are only as old as you feel. Somedays, I feel like I'm 80 years old.
Resolutions anyone? Again I say, why do we make them, when on the average none are kept.
Well this year I have made a resolution. A resolution to not look at the past and to only look at the future. A resolution to not be walked on but to actually stand up for myself. A resolution to not try to please everyone, but to take myself into consideration when I'm making these choices.
And a resolution to Scrapbook more and capture my life in the most fabulous way.
So I say, come on 2007, I'm ready for you. Lets get this New Year started.

Another day of the Christmas Season. Today is a Scrapbooking Day for me! I've hardly had anytime to enjoy one of my favorite past times over this season. With coming back from our 3 weeks vacation, we were dropped right into the scurry of the season, and my scrapbooking has taken a backseat place. But TODAY, I will be sitting at my desk trying to get a Circle Journal done so I can get it into the mail. Besides that, I've got to start scrapping our holiday pictures. I've just been itching to use some of the new stuff I bought while we were away.
Plus I've got to start thinking what my New Years resolutions will be this year. I don't know why we make them, because, REALLY, do they ever get carried out? Maybe this year I will make one that is actually feasible to do. Hmmmm!!!

Boxing Day

Well it's Boxing Day night and my husband Jason has gone to bed. It's no wonder because it's 12:30am actually on Wednesday morning. I'm not exactly tired because I had a nap this afternoon. Starting to feel old I guess.
On Christmas Eve we celebrated with my sister in law and her family. The kids were so overwhelmed with everything. Then Christmas Day, Jay and I stayed home and enjoyed our own family traditions. We may not have kids, but it's still just as exciting to have the Christmas lights on, have the vanilla scented candles burning and open the presents that were there. And of course, we always have something different for dinner. This year it was a Turducken. Quite the meal for the 2 of us to eat, seeing as it's 3 birds in one. Leftovers are the best though.
And then today, we had friends drop in with their 9 month old baby girl. So, you can just imagine because she is crawling and starting to pull herself up. It's quite exciting.
So, Jason is in bed, and I'm sure that I'm not much farther behind him.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas with your families and look forward to the New Year that is approaching.
